EFB Elektronik K5561SW.5V2 video adapter

The EFB Elektronik K5561SW.5V2 is a 5-metre video cable adapter with a DisplayPort connector on one end and an HDMI connector on the other. It enables connection of devices that output via DisplayPort to HDMI-equipped displays, supporting high-quality video transmission over a longer distance. The cable is finished in black and is intended for use where a stable digital video link is required between a DisplayPort source and an HDMI sink.

Advantages

This video cable adapter provides a direct DisplayPort-to-HDMI connection without the need for separate converters. The 5-metre length offers greater placement flexibility for PCs, laptops or docking stations relative to monitors and TVs. Its black jacket gives a neutral appearance suitable for office or home environments, and the fixed cable design reduces the number of separate components in a setup.

Suitable for

• Connecting a computer or graphics card with DisplayPort output to an HDMI monitor or TV
• Extending the reach between a DisplayPort source and an HDMI display in offices and classrooms
• Temporary or semi-permanent AV installations where a 5 m cable length is required

Key specifications

• Connector A: DisplayPort (male)
• Connector B: HDMI (male)
• Cable length: 5 metres
• Colour: black
• Function: passive DisplayPort-to-HDMI video link

How to use

Connect the DisplayPort end of the cable to the DisplayPort output on the source device and insert the HDMI end into the HDMI input of the display. Power on both devices and select the appropriate HDMI input on the display. The connection transmits digital video; if audio is required verify that the source device is configured to output audio over DisplayPort/HDMI and that the target display supports embedded audio over HDMI. For best results avoid sharp bends and excessive strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Ensure both source and display firmware/drivers are up to date to improve compatibility. Use the cable in indoor environments and route it to avoid tripping hazards; avoid stretching the cable and keep connectors free of dust for reliable operation.
