EFB Elektronik K5432SW.3 video adapter

The EFB Elektronik K5432SW.3 is a 3 m video cable adapter designed to connect HDMI Type A (Standard) sources to DVI displays or devices. This cable supports digital video transmission between compatible equipment, providing a simple wired interface for setups that combine modern HDMI outputs with older DVI inputs. The black jacket and molded connectors deliver a durable everyday cable suitable for home, office and professional AV environments.

Advantages

This 3 meter adapter enables a direct HDMI-to-DVI connection without active conversion, preserving digital video signal integrity across compatible devices. The cable's length provides flexible placement of source and display equipment while reducing the need for additional extenders or adapters. Constructed with molded connector housings and a protective outer jacket, it offers reliable mechanical durability for repeated plugging and routing.

Suitable for

• Connecting a PC, laptop or media player with HDMI output to a DVI monitor or projector
• Home theater setups where a DVI display is used with HDMI sources
• Office and presentation environments requiring HDMI-to-DVI wiring
• Gaming consoles or set-top boxes connected to DVI-equipped displays

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Connector 1: HDMI Type A (Standard)
• Connector 2: DVI
• Color: Black
• Function: Unidirectional passive digital video link (HDMI to DVI compatible)

How to use

Connect the HDMI Type A end to the source device (such as a laptop, PC, Blu-ray player or media box) and insert the DVI connector into the display device or projector. Ensure both devices are powered off when making the physical connection, then power them on and select the appropriate input on the display. If the display does not automatically detect the signal, open the display's input/source menu and choose the connected DVI input.

Recommendations

Use this passive HDMI-to-DVI adapter for video-only applications; audio transmission is not supported over DVI and will require a separate audio connection if needed. For distances beyond 3 m or for conversions that require HDCP handling or signal amplification, consider an active converter or a signal extender to maintain optimal image quality.
