PLANET WGS-804HPT upravljani switch

The PLANET WGS-804HPT is a managed Gigabit wall-mount switch with 8 x 10/100/1000T ports and 4 ports supporting PoE+ with a total power budget of up to 144 W. Designed for installation in wall enclosures or mounted directly on a wall, the switch provides IPv6/IPv4 dual-stack management, Layer 2 management functions and a compact IP30 metal housing rated to operate from -40 to 75 °C. The WGS-804HPT supports enterprise-class features such as link aggregation, 802.1Q/Q-in-Q VLAN, MSTP, IGMP/MLD snooping and robust QoS, making it suitable for IP surveillance, wireless LAN, IoT and building or home automation networks.

Advantages

The WGS-804HPT combines Gigabit switching performance with managed Layer 2 features and PoE+ power delivery in a space-saving wall-mount design. It offers flexible installation (front access, fixed/magnetic/DIN-rail mounting), real-time PoE usage monitoring with LED indicators and a web-based management interface plus Telnet and SNMP. Its hardened IP30 metal enclosure and wide operating temperature range increase reliability in constrained or harsh environments while IPv6/IPv4 dual-stack support ensures compatibility with current and future networks.

Suitable for

• IP surveillance deployments with PoE cameras
• Wireless LAN access point backhaul and PoE AP power
• Building and home automation networks
• Small-to-medium business (SMB) networks and IoT edge devices

How to use

Mount the WGS-804HPT inside a suitable wall enclosure or on a wall using the provided mounting options (fixed, magnetic or DIN rail) and make front-side access available for cabling and LED monitoring. Connect uplink and endpoint devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports and connect PoE-powered devices to the PoE+ ports. Configure network settings and Layer 2 features through the web management interface, Telnet or SNMP. Use the PoE scheduling and PD alive check functions to control PoE power and set scheduled reboots for connected devices as required.

Recommendations

For stable operation in surveillance and wireless deployments, monitor PoE power usage via the web interface and LED indicators, configure PoE schedules to reduce power during off-hours, and enable PD alive check or scheduled recycling for devices that may require periodic rebooting.
