Optički kabel EFB Elektronik O0318.0,5

The EFB Elektronik O0318.0,5 is a 0.5 m OM4 fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends. It has a 50 µm core diameter and is designed for full-duplex connections, offering high-speed data transmission with low attenuation suitable for data centers and high-performance networking environments.

Advantages

OM4 multimode construction provides higher bandwidth and extended reach compared to lower-grade multimode fibres. SC connectors on both ends ensure a widely compatible, push-pull connection with stable mechanical performance. The short 0.5 m length reduces unused cabling in patch panels and server racks, simplifying cable management and minimizing signal loss in short interconnects.

Suitable for

• Patch connections in data centres
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch short links
• High-speed multimode network segments (10G/40G where supported)

Key specifications

• Brand: EFB Elektronik
• Model / MPN: O0318.0,5
• EAN: 4049759022396
• Length: 0.5 m
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC — both ends
• Mode: Full duplex

How to use

Confirm both ends are clean and undamaged before installation. Insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC receptacle until it clicks, observing correct orientation for duplex links. Route the cable to avoid tight bends (respect the fibre's minimum bend radius) and strain; secure with appropriate cable management accessories. For testing, use an optical power meter or certified fibre tester to verify link loss meets system requirements.

Recommendations

Store and handle the OM4 fibre jumper in a clean environment, use dust caps on connectors when not connected, and follow industry cleaning procedures to maintain optimal optical performance.
