Mrežni switch PLANET FSD-803 Fast Ethernet 10/100

PLANET FSD-803 is a compact Fast Ethernet switch with eight 10/100Mbps RJ-45 ports designed for small-office and home-office networks. The metal-cased FSD-803 provides a desktop or wall-mountable solution with auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDI-X support, a 1K MAC address table, 1.6 Gbit/s switching capacity and a 448 Kbit packet buffer to maintain stable throughput and data integrity.

Advantages

The FSD-803 uses a store-and-forward forwarding scheme to reduce latency and protect data integrity, delivering wire-speed performance for typical 10/100Mbps traffic. It recognises up to 1,000 MAC addresses and provides automatic speed and duplex detection on all RJ-45 ports. The switch includes a rear power ON/OFF button to avoid unnecessary power use when the device is not required, and its compact metal design supports easy installation in space-limited environments.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Small office or home office Ethernet connectivity for up to about 10–50 users
• Connecting routers, servers and desktop PCs at 10/100Mbps
• Basic network expansion where unmanaged switching is sufficient

Key specifications

• Ports: 8 × 10/100Mbps RJ-45 (auto-negotiation, auto-MDI/MDI-X)
• Switching capacity: 1.6 Gbit/s
• MAC address table: 1,000 entries
• Packet buffer: 448 Kbit
• Standards: IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3x, IEEE 802.3az
• Power input: 5V DC
• Weight: 0.316 kg
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Place the FSD-803 on a stable surface or mount it on the wall using appropriate screws. Connect each network device to an RJ-45 port using Cat5/Cat5e cables; the switch will automatically detect speed and MDI/MDI-X. For direct connections to routers or servers, simply plug in and verify link LEDs. Use the rear panel power ON/OFF button to power the device only when needed.

Recommendations

For reliable 10/100Mbps performance, use Cat5 or better cabling, keep firmware and connected device network settings standard (auto-negotiation enabled), and place the switch in a well-ventilated location to avoid overheating in continuous operation.
