Opis

A 3 m (10 ft) stainless steel safety wire designed for securing Axis network cameras. The cable has a fixed loop on one end and an adjustable loop with a plated brass wire lock on the other end. It is compatible with Axis PTZ and fixed dome cameras when installed in direct ceiling mounts or Axis recessed mounts and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The product is sold as a pack of five.

Advantages

Made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long service life. The combination of a fixed loop and an adjustable loop with a plated brass wire lock provides flexible and reliable attachment options. Compatible with a wide range of Axis PTZ and fixed dome cameras, allowing consistent safety installation across different camera models. Pack of five offers multiple spare units for installations or replacements.

Key specifications

How to use

Thread the fixed loop or adjustable loop through the camera housing anchor point or mount attachment, then secure the adjustable loop with the plated brass wire lock to form a tamper-resistant connection. Verify that the cable length and loop tension provide a secure secondary retention without stressing camera mounts or cabling. For recessed installations, route the cable through the designated opening and attach according to the mount manufacturer’s instructions.

Recommendations

Use the safety wire as a secondary retention device in addition to the primary mounting hardware. Inspect the cable and wire lock periodically for corrosion or wear, especially in outdoor or harsh environments, and replace any damaged units. Follow Axis camera and mount installation instructions to ensure correct attachment points and maintain warranty compliance.
