Adapter kabela USB-C ProXtend USBC-MICROBAW

The ProXtend USBC-MICROBAW is a USB-C to USB Micro B gender changer in a durable white finish. It provides a compact and lightweight solution for converting a USB-C female port to accept a USB Micro B plug, enabling connection between modern USB-C hosts and older Micro B peripherals. The adapter supports standard data transfer and charging functions where supported by the connected devices and cables, offering a simple physical interface without additional drivers or configuration.

Advantages

The adapter offers a small footprint and low weight, suitable for carrying in a laptop bag or pocket. Its robust white housing resists everyday wear and provides a clean visual match with many devices. By converting connector types it removes the need for new cables or hubs when interfacing between USB-C and USB Micro B equipment, and it functions passively to preserve the native behavior of the connected devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB Micro B accessories (external hard drives, older smartphones, cameras) to USB-C hosts
• Charging legacy Micro B devices from USB-C power sources when supported by the cable and device
• Temporary on-the-go connections where a dedicated cable is not available

Key specifications

• Connector A: USB-C (female input)
• Connector B: USB Micro B (female output for Micro B plug)
• Colour: White
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter
• Functionality: Passive gender changer for data and charging compatibility depending on connected devices and cables

How to use

Insert the USB Micro B plug from the peripheral cable into the Micro B side of the adapter, then connect the USB-C end of the adapter into the USB-C female port of the host or cable. Ensure the connected devices and cables support the required data speeds and charging current. The adapter is passive and requires no software; once physically connected, devices should recognise the link according to their native USB capabilities. Avoid forcing connectors and align plugs correctly before insertion.

Recommendations

Use high-quality, appropriately rated cables when charging to ensure safe current delivery. Do not use the adapter in environments with excessive moisture or dust. For sustained high-current charging or high-speed data transfer, verify that both the host and peripheral support the necessary power and data specifications; otherwise use a purpose-built cable or adapter designed for those higher requirements.
