Adapter kabela ProXtend USBC-MICROBA

The ProXtend USBC-MICROBA cable gender changer enables direct connection between USB-C hosts or devices and USB Micro B peripherals. Designed with a durable black housing and precision-molded connectors, this adapter supports reliable physical and data link compatibility when converting between modern USB-C plugs and legacy Micro B ports. It is a compact, pass-through solution for situations where a device-to-device cable swap or port adaptation is required.

Advantages

This gender changer provides a simple, tool-free way to join USB-C and USB Micro B interfaces while maintaining stable contact and consistent data transfer. The compact black design reduces cable clutter and is suitable for portable use. Molded strain relief at the connector junctions improves mechanical durability and reduces the chance of connector damage during repeated insertion and removal.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB-C smartphones or tablets to devices or cables with USB Micro B connectors
• Adapting older external drives, cameras, or accessories with Micro B ports to newer USB-C hosts
• Field technicians and users needing a compact adapter for mixed-interface setups

Key specifications

• Connector 1: USB-C (female/male as appropriate for gender changer)
• Connector 2: USB Micro B
• Color: Black
• Form factor: Inline gender adapter (compact, lightweight)
• Primary function: Interface conversion between USB-C and USB Micro B for data and device connectivity

How to use

Insert the ProXtend USBC-MICROBA adapter into the corresponding connector of the cable or device that matches its first connector type, then attach the opposite connector to the target device or cable. Ensure connectors are aligned and fully seated to establish a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Use gentle, straight insertion and avoid forcing the connector at an angle. After connection, verify device recognition on the host or peripheral to confirm successful link establishment.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for data and device connectivity where physical port conversion is required; avoid using it in applications that demand specific USB power-delivery negotiation beyond standard Micro B capabilities. For prolonged or permanent installations, consider using a dedicated cable with the required end types to minimise connector stress. Keep connectors clean and dry and avoid excessive bending at the adapter junction to prolong service life.
