Tikva Fischer 80181

The Fischer 80181 toggle bolt is a metal anchoring fastener engineered for load-bearing connections in hollow and solid building substrates. With a total length of 95 mm and a recommended drill hole diameter of 12 mm, this toggle anchor accepts screws up to 90 mm long and comes in a pack of 50 pieces for use in medium to large projects. Its pivoting wings expand behind plasterboard, gypsum block or inside drilled cavities in brick and concrete, creating a wide bearing surface for secure support of fixtures and fittings.

Advantages

The Fischer toggle bolt offers reliable load distribution through its expanding wings, reducing point loads on plasterboard and hollow blocks. Its robust metal construction provides higher shear and tensile strength compared with plastic anchors, and the long sleeve design simplifies installation in both thin and thicker substrates. Supplied in a box of 50, the pack size is suitable for repetitive installation work on construction and renovation sites.

Key specifications

• Anchor length: 95 mm
• Required drill hole diameter: 12 mm
• Maximum compatible screw length: 90 mm
• Material: metal toggle anchor (steel)
• Suitable base materials: plasterboard, gypsum block, brick, concrete
• Pack quantity: 50 pieces

How to use

Drill a hole with a 12 mm bit through the fixture and substrate to the required depth. Fold the toggle wings closed and insert the anchor through the hole until the wings clear the inner side of the substrate. Pull the anchor gently towards the outer surface to seat the wings, then tighten the screw gradually until the fixture is clamped firmly against the wall. Ensure the screw length matches the anchor and fixture thickness so the wings can fully expand and provide the intended load-bearing support.

Recommendations

Check substrate condition before installation; avoid using toggle anchors in severely damaged or crumbling plaster. For heavy or safety-critical loads, verify load ratings and use anchors sized for the specific application. When installing into solid masonry, ensure the drilled hole is clear of dust for proper seating. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment while drilling and installing anchors.
