Key specifications

• Maximum circle diameter: 36 cm
• Total length: 170 mm
• Weight: 141 g
• Material: stainless steel with black finish
• Type: bow compass with fine adjustment

How to use

Secure the point of the compass at the intended center of the circle and set the pencil or lead in the holder, ensuring it is firmly clamped. Adjust the span using the sliding arms and the fine adjustment mechanism to reach the desired radius, then rotate the compass smoothly around the fixed point to draw the circle. For repeatable dimensions, use the fine adjustment for incremental changes and check alignment on the drawing surface before making the final stroke.

Recommendations

Regularly check and tighten the clamping screws and the lead holder to maintain accuracy. Use a properly sharpened technical lead or drafting pencil sized for the holder, and store the compass in a protective case to prevent damage to the point and tip when not in use.
