Rezač vrućom žicom styro Styro L 500 (model 1310510) – styro

Hot wire foam cutter Styro L 500 by styro is a handheld tool engineered for controlled cutting of polystyrene and similar foam materials. The device uses a heated wire to slice through foam with minimal mechanical force, enabling smooth, dust-free edges suitable for model making, insulation trimming, signage, and craft projects. Its compact form factor and simple operation make it practical for both short session tasks and precise shaping work.

Advantages

The hot wire system provides clean cuts without generating the dust typical of mechanical cutting methods, reducing cleanup and airborne particles. The heated wire maintains a consistent temperature for predictable cutting performance and reduced snagging. Being lightweight and handheld, the Styro L 500 offers good maneuverability for curved and straight cuts, and its design supports quick setup and straightforward use.

How to use

Connect the tool to a compatible power source and allow the wire to reach cutting temperature according to the manufacturer's guidance. Hold the device steadily and guide the heated wire through the foam using a slow, even motion to maintain a clean edge. For straight cuts consider using a guide or straightedge; for curves move the cutter steadily along the desired path. Avoid forcing the wire and do not pause the cut while the wire is inside the material to prevent uneven melting.

Recommendations

Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes produced when cutting certain foam types. Wear basic eye protection and avoid direct skin contact with the heated wire. Test on scrap material to set the correct cutting speed and technique, and keep the work area clear of flammable materials.
