Optički transceiver modul PLANET MTB-LB40

The PLANET MTB-LB40 is a fiber optic SFP+ transceiver module designed for 10G Ethernet connections. It supports a maximum data transfer rate of 10000 Mbit/s, features a metallic housing and is compatible with SFP+ interfaces. The module extends optical link distances for enterprise, telecom and ISP networks as well as data centre cloud computing environments.

Advantages

The MTB-LB40 provides reliable high-speed 10G data transmission with SFP+ compatibility and a durable metallic design. It supports both multi-mode and single-mode deployments to cover short-range and extended optical links up to the distances supported by the chosen optics, enabling flexible integration into existing 10G network equipment.

Suitable for

• 10G Ethernet uplinks in enterprise networks
• Telecom and ISP backbone links
• Data centre and cloud computing interconnects
• Upgrading switches or routers with SFP+ ports

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP+
• Maximum data transfer rate: 10000 Mbit/s (10G)
• Product colour: Metallic
• Manufacturer model: PLANET MTB-LB40
• MPN: MTB-LB40, EAN: 4711605280372

How to use

Insert the MTB-LB40 into a compatible SFP+ slot on a switch, router or media converter until it clicks into place. Connect the appropriate LC fiber cable according to the transceiver type (multi-mode or single-mode) and ensure the remote link partner uses matching optics. Power on the equipment and verify the 10G link status via the device management interface or LED indicators.

Recommendations

Use certified LC fiber cables and confirm fibre type (MMF or SMF) and wavelength compatibility before deployment. Handle the module by the housing, avoid touching optical interfaces, and keep dust caps on when not connected. For long-term reliability, verify firmware and compatibility lists of the host device.
