Optički patch kabel ProXtend FO-SCSCOS2D-003 SC-SC UPC OS2 Duplex 3 m

ProXtend FO-SCSCOS2D-003 SC-SC UPC OS2 Duplex 3 m is a 3-meter single-mode fiber optic patch cable with SC-SC UPC connectors in a duplex configuration. Engineered for single-mode networks, this OS2-rated cable supports long-distance, low-attenuation signal transmission. The SC connectors with UPC polish ensure consistent connector geometry and low back reflection, making the cable suitable for telecom racks, data centre patch panels and FTTH terminations where reliable single-mode connections are required.

Advantages

The cable offers low insertion loss and low return loss consistent with OS2 single-mode performance, enabling stable optical links across standard telecommunication wavelengths. Duplex SC-SC UPC connectors provide simple push-pull mating and a compact footprint for high-density panels. The 3 m length reduces excess slack in structured cabling runs while the ProXtend manufacturing processes deliver consistent quality and connector alignment for repeatable connections.

Suitable for

• Telecommunications backbone links and inter-rack connections
• Data centre patch panels and cross-connects
• FTTH customer terminations and optical distribution frames
• Laboratory testing and equipment interconnects requiring single-mode duplex links

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Single-mode OS2
• Connector type: SC to SC with UPC polish, duplex
• Length: 3 metres
• Configuration: Duplex (two fibres)
• Typical performance: low insertion loss and low return loss suitable for long-distance single-mode links
• Jacket: single jacket suitable for indoor structured cabling

How to use

Inspect connectors and ensure end faces are clean before mating. Align the duplex SC connector with the SC adapter or port and insert until it clicks into place; reverse the action to disconnect. Route the 3 m cable to avoid sharp bends, compression or excessive tension; maintain minimum bend radius recommended for single-mode fiber. For installation in patch panels or distribution frames, secure the cable to strain-relief points and avoid tight bundling with active power cables to reduce the risk of interference or physical damage.

Recommendations

Use appropriate fiber cleaning tools and inspection scopes to verify connector end-face quality prior to deployment. Store unused cables coiled without tight loops, and avoid pulling on the connectors when routing. For permanent installations, test the link with an optical power meter or OTDR to confirm loss and continuity meet system requirements.
