Mrežni switch Trendnet TI-G162

The Trendnet TI-G162 is a compact Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for small office and home network environments. It provides 14 RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) ports, supports full-duplex operation and adheres to common IEEE networking standards. The switch offers a switching capacity of 32 Gbit/s and maintains a MAC address table for up to 8000 entries. With a DC input voltage range of 48–56 V and a wall-mountable chassis in black, the unit is intended for straightforward installation where space and reliable wired connectivity are required.

Advantages

The TI-G162 delivers multiport Gigabit connectivity in a compact, lightweight form factor. Compliance with IEEE 802.3 family standards ensures compatibility with a wide range of network devices. Its switching capacity and MAC table size support simultaneous data transfer across connected devices while minimizing collisions through full-duplex operation. The wall-mountable design and low weight allow flexible placement in network cabinets, on walls, or desktop setups. A simple power requirement of 48–56 V DC allows integration with compatible DC power supplies.

Suitable for

• Small office or home networks requiring multiple Gigabit wired connections
• Edge deployments where compact, wall-mountable switches are needed
• Integrating wired devices such as PCs, printers, NAS units and access points
• Basic network aggregation or device expansion for existing switches or routers

How to use

Mount the Trendnet TI-G162 on a suitable wall surface or place it on a stable desktop location. Connect each network device using standard Cat5e or Cat6 cables to the RJ-45 ports. Provide power using a compatible DC power supply within the specified 48–56 V input range. The switch operates transparently once powered and linked to devices; it forwards traffic based on MAC address learning and switching logic without additional configuration. Ensure connected devices negotiate at Gigabit speeds where supported to benefit from full throughput.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a well-ventilated area away from excessive heat and moisture. Use quality Ethernet cabling (Cat5e or higher) and keep cable runs within recommended lengths to maintain signal integrity. When integrating with other networking equipment, verify power supply compatibility and ensure grounding where required by your installation environment.
