Modularni patch spojnik ShiverPeaks 75005 — Cat 5 Ethernet adapter

The Modular Patch Connector ShiverPeaks 75005 — Cat 5 Ethernet Adapter is a compact, unshielded RJ45 adapter designed to terminate, join or extend Cat 5 network cables. It provides a standardized interface for patch panels, keystone jacks and inline cable connections, enabling straightforward electrical continuity for typical 100 Mbps Ethernet and other legacy LAN applications that use Cat 5 wiring standards.

Advantages

This adapter offers a small form factor that simplifies cable routing in tight spaces and allows fast mechanical termination without specialized tooling. Its unshielded RJ45 contacts maintain standard signal paths for Cat 5 wiring schemes, ensuring compatibility with common office and home networking equipment. The product is designed for consistent contact alignment to reduce intermittent connectivity and to support repeated plug cycles during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Joining two Cat 5 UTP cables for inline extensions
• Adapting terminated cables to patch panels or keystone jacks
• Temporary connections during network testing and troubleshooting
• Small office or home network installations using Cat 5 cabling

Key specifications

• Connector type: modular RJ45 (unshielded)
• Cable category: Cat 5 (unshielded twisted pair)
• Supported network level: 100BASE-TX and equivalent Cat 5 signal levels
• Physical format: compact inline adapter for easy mounting or placement
• Contact material: plated contacts for reliable signal transfer

How to use

Insert each terminated Cat 5 cable plug into the RJ45 sockets of the adapter until it clicks to ensure secure contact. Verify correct wiring and polarity prior to connection if you are joining pre-terminated cables. After insertion, test the link with a cable tester or network device to confirm continuity and signal integrity. For repeated installations, inspect contacts for wear and clean if necessary to maintain reliable connections.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in environments where Cat 5 performance is sufficient; avoid placing it where shielding is required for EMI protection. Keep exposed connections away from moisture and excessive strain; secure cables to prevent accidental disconnection or damage.
