Microconnect FIB551002 InfiniBand/optički kabel 2 m LC zeleni

The Microconnect FIB551002 is a 2 m OM5 multimode fibre optic patch cable with LC connectors on both ends. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM5 (WBMMF) specification, this green cable is designed to support growing bandwidth needs and full-duplex high-speed data transmission in modern networks.

Advantages

OM5 (Wideband Multimode Fiber) specification enables improved wavelength-division multiplexing performance compared with earlier multimode types, supporting higher aggregated bandwidth over the same fibre core. The LC-LC connectors provide compact, reliable termination for high-density installations. The 2 m length and distinctive green jacket make the cable easy to route and identify in patch panels and racks.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and switch-to-switch links
• High-speed multimode network connections using LC ports
• Short-reach aggregation and backbone segments within buildings

Key specifications

• Length: 2 m
• Fiber type: OM5 (WBMMF), multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connectors: LC to LC
• Colour: Green
• Weight: 0.016 kg

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before installation and clean if necessary using appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Plug each LC connector into the corresponding LC port on devices or patch panels, ensuring correct alignment for duplex transmission. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius for multimode fibre. Test the link after installation to verify optical continuity and expected performance.

Recommendations

Use this OM5 LC-LC patch cable for short-reach high-bandwidth multimode links in controlled indoor environments such as data centres and equipment rooms. For longer distances or single-mode requirements, select an appropriate single-mode fibre cable.
