Metar Stanley Tylon 3m 1-30-687

The Stanley Tylon 3m tape measure is a compact measuring tool designed for general-purpose use in construction, woodworking and home improvement. Housed in a high-impact ABS casing with rubber overmoulding, the black-and-yellow case offers improved grip and visibility on busy job sites. The tape blade extends to 3 metres and features clear, easy-to-read graduations for quick and accurate linear measurements.

Advantages

The durable ABS and rubber construction provides resistance to everyday knocks and drops while maintaining a comfortable hold. High-contrast markings on the blade improve legibility under varied lighting conditions, and the compact size makes it easy to carry in a pocket or tool belt. The design balances robustness and simplicity to support repeated measuring tasks without unnecessary bulk.

Suitable for

• Measuring lengths and dimensions for carpentry and joinery
• Quick checks and layouts on-site during construction or renovation
• DIY projects and furniture assembly at home
• General-purpose measurements in workshops and garages

Key specifications

• Maximum measuring length: 3 metres
• Case material: high-impact ABS with rubber overmould
• Blade markings: clear metric graduations
• Colour: black and yellow for improved visibility
• Compact, pocket-friendly design

How to use

Pull the tape blade out of the case until the desired length is reached and read the measurement from the marked graduations. Use the tape hook to catch an edge or anchor the tape against a surface for accurate single-person measuring. Retract the blade slowly into the case to avoid damage; most use a built-in brake or lock to hold the blade at a set length while marking or recording measurements.

Recommendations

For consistent accuracy, keep the tape blade clean and free from debris, avoid forcing the blade beyond its full extension, and store the tool in a dry place to preserve the casing and markings.
