Connect the UNITEK D1049A to a compatible USB-C host port on your laptop. Attach HDMI and/or VGA cables from the dock to external monitors as needed; ensure the host laptop supports multi-stream transport (MST) when using two displays. Plug USB-A peripherals into the Type-A port for data transfer. If charging is required, connect a USB-C power adapter to the host port or a designated PD input that supplies up to 100 W; follow your laptop manufacturer's guidance for external charging while operating displays and peripherals.

Recommendations

For optimal video performance, use high-quality HDMI cables and confirm that both the laptop GPU and external monitors support the desired resolutions and refresh rates. When driving two displays via MST, check the host device’s capabilities and allocate resolution settings accordingly. Use a power adapter rated for sufficient wattage to ensure stable charging while under load.
