Košara za HDD Icy Dock MB839SP-B

The Icy Dock MB839SP-B is a single-bay HDD cage designed to provide a compact, robust enclosure for a 3.5-inch hard drive. Constructed from a combination of metal and ABS plastic, the unit offers a balance of structural strength and light weight. With external dimensions of 154 mm (W) x 22 mm (D) x 122 mm (H) and a slim black finish, this HDD cage is intended for use where reliable drive housing and straightforward installation are required.

Advantages

The metal frame provides mechanical stability while ABS components reduce overall weight without compromising durability. The compact footprint conserves internal space in desktop or server systems. Its single-drive design simplifies installation and maintenance, and the black finish integrates cleanly with most system interiors. The product is engineered for easy access to the installed drive and consistent mounting alignment.

Suitable for

• Upgrading or expanding storage in desktops and small form factor PCs
• Replacing or housing a single 3.5-inch hard drive in workstation builds
• Providing a stable drive mount for light server or NAS applications where a single drive bay is required
• Test benches and repair work where quick drive swapping is needed

Key specifications

• Drives supported: 1 x 3.5-inch HDD
• Materials: Metal frame with ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) components
• External dimensions (W x D x H): 154 mm x 22 mm x 122 mm
• Weight: approximately 277 g
• Colour: Black

How to use

Install the drive into the cage following the orientation shown in the mechanical slots so that mounting holes line up. Secure the hard drive using the appropriate screws for 3.5-inch drives, then insert the assembled cage into the target 5.25-inch or compatible bay in your system chassis according to the chassis manufacturer’s instructions. Connect the system power and data cables to the drive and verify detection in the system BIOS or operating system. For removal, power down the system and disconnect cables before unscrewing and extracting the cage.

Recommendations

Use the HDD cage in a system environment with adequate airflow to maintain appropriate drive temperatures. Avoid exposing the unit to excessive vibration or direct impact. When installing drives, confirm screw torque is moderate to prevent damage to drive housings or the ABS components. For RAID or continuous-operation deployments, consider additional cooling or vibration-damping measures to extend drive life.
