DVI-I (Ž) - HDMI (M) adapter Kramer Electronics 99-9497010

The Kramer Electronics DVI-I (F) - HDMI (M) Connector is an adapter designed to connect DVI-equipped sources or displays to HDMI-equipped devices. It provides a female DVI-I interface and a male HDMI plug to enable signal transfer between computers, monitors, projectors and other A/V hardware that use DVI and HDMI connections. The adapter is finished in black and built to provide a compact, low-profile connection solution where a direct cable or port-to-port link is required.

Advantages

This adapter supports straightforward mechanical and electrical connection between DVI-I and HDMI interfaces without active conversion electronics. Its compact form factor minimizes desk and rack clutter while preserving the original signal path when used within the capabilities of the connected devices. The solid construction and reliable connector housings contribute to stable contact and long-term usability.

Suitable for

• Connecting a computer graphics card with a DVI-I output to an HDMI display or projector
• Linking legacy DVI monitors to modern HDMI-only sources
• Temporary or permanent setups where space is limited and a short adapter is preferable to a cable

Key specifications

• Connector A: Female DVI-I (analog + digital compatible physical interface)
• Connector B: Male HDMI Type A
• Color: Black
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter
• Compatibility: Designed for physical connection between DVI-I and HDMI devices (subject to device signal compatibility)

How to use

Insert the female DVI-I end of the adapter onto the DVI plug of the source or display, ensuring the connector is aligned and the thumbscrews (if present on the DVI connector) are secured. Then insert the male HDMI plug into the HDMI input of the target device until it seats firmly. No external power is required. Note that when converting between DVI and HDMI, supported video formats and resolutions depend on the capabilities of the connected devices and cables; audio is generally not carried from DVI unless the source embeds audio into the HDMI output.

Recommendations

Use this adapter where a direct physical connection is sufficient and both devices support compatible video formats. For resolutions above standard HD or when a guaranteed audio path is required, verify device specifications and consider using active converters or appropriate cables if necessary.
