D-Link DWA-137 mrežna kartica WLAN

The D-Link DWA-137 is a compact USB-powered WLAN network card that provides wireless connectivity using Wi‑Fi 4 (802.11n) on the 2.4 GHz band. Designed for simple plug-and-play installation, this black network adapter offers an easy way to add or upgrade wireless capability for desktop PCs and laptops without internal card installation. Its small form factor and low weight make it portable and unobtrusive when connected to a USB port.

Advantages

The adapter supports 2.4 GHz 802.11n connectivity to improve range and throughput compared with older 802.11g devices while remaining compatible with existing 2.4 GHz networks. USB power eliminates the need for an external power supply or additional cables, and the compact design minimizes obstruction around adjacent USB ports. Its plug-and-play approach reduces setup time and does not require opening the computer chassis.

Suitable for

• Adding wireless connectivity to a desktop PC with no built-in Wi‑Fi
• Upgrading an older laptop to 802.11n performance on the 2.4 GHz band
• Temporary or mobile use where a small, lightweight adapter is needed
• Home and small office networks operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11n (Wi‑Fi 4) on 2.4 GHz
• Interface: USB (powered via host USB port)
• Color: Black
• Weight: approximately 0.0255 kg
• Form factor: compact USB network adapter

How to use

Plug the D-Link DWA-137 into an available USB port on your computer. For most modern operating systems, the adapter will be detected and configured automatically using the plug-and-play mechanism; when required, install drivers provided by the operating system or downloaded from the manufacturer’s support site. After installation, select your 2.4 GHz wireless network from the system network manager and enter the network security key to connect. Positioning the adapter in a clear line of sight relative to the wireless router can help improve signal strength.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with routers or access points operating on the 2.4 GHz band for optimal compatibility. For best performance, keep the adapter away from large metal objects and other sources of 2.4 GHz interference such as microwaves and cordless phones. If USB port space is limited, consider a short USB extension cable to improve orientation and reduce blockage of neighboring ports.
