Bočna kliješta Knipex 70 05 180

The Knipex 70 05 180 diagonal pliers are a compact, all-purpose cutting tool made from high-quality chromium-vanadium electric steel. With a narrow head profile and a total length of 180 mm, these diagonal cutters are intended for precision cutting of soft and hard wire and for working in confined spaces. The cutting edges are induction hardened to a hardness of approximately 62 HRC for long service life and clean cuts even on thin copper wires and at the tips.

Advantages

High-quality forged and oil-hardened chromium-vanadium steel ensures strength and durability. Precision cutting edges provide clean cuts on both soft and hard wire. Induction-hardened cutting edges (approx. 62 HRC) extend service life and maintain sharpness. Narrow head design allows access in confined areas. The tool’s ergonomic form supports comfortable handling during repeated use.

Suitable for

• Cutting soft copper and other soft wires
• Cutting harder wires and small-diameter steel wire
• Electrical and electronics work in confined spaces
• General workshop and maintenance cutting tasks

How to use

Position the pliers so the wire rests close to the cutting edge and squeeze the handles with a steady motion to achieve a clean cut. For very thin copper wires, use the cutting-edge tips for precise trimming. Use the narrow head to reach into tight areas; avoid levering or twisting the tool during cutting. After use, wipe clean and store in a dry place to prevent corrosion.

Recommendations

Use the Knipex 70 05 180 diagonal pliers only for cutting tasks within the tool’s capacity. Do not use them to cut hardened steel beyond the specified capability, to pry, or as a hammer. Regularly inspect cutting edges for wear and re-sharpen or replace the tool when clean cutting is no longer achieved.
