Bahco 9045-B-250 stolarski kutnik

The Bahco 9045-B-250 carpenter's square is a compact steel square designed for accurate layout and angle checking in woodworking and general construction. The tool combines a 26 cm blade and a 17 cm tongue, finished in black for corrosion resistance and clear contrast. With a total weight of approximately 180 g, this square balances durability and portability for workshop benches and on-site tasks.

Advantages

The steel construction provides rigidity for repeatable right-angle measurements and straight edges. The black finish reduces reflections and helps protect against surface rust while offering visual contrast with most pencil markings. Its moderate weight makes it easy to handle for marking, scribing, and setting out joints without flexing under normal use. The combination of blade and tongue lengths supports common carpentry layouts while remaining compact for storage.

Suitable for

• Checking and marking 90° angles on timber and sheet materials
• Transferring measurements and scribing lines for joinery and cabinetmaking
• General workshop layout, framing checks and on-site carpentry

Key specifications

• Blade length: 26 cm
• Tongue length: 17 cm
• Material: steel
• Finish: black coated surface
• Weight: 180 g (approx.)

How to use

Place the square so the inside corner sits firmly against the edge of the workpiece with the blade and tongue aligned along the surfaces to be checked. For marking a right angle, hold the square steady with one hand while scribing along the blade or tongue with a pencil or marking knife. To check squareness of assembled frames, press the inside corner into the joint and observe any gaps between the square edges and the material. Use the flat edges as a straightedge for drawing lines or guiding saws and chisels where appropriate.

Recommendations

Keep the square clean and dry after use to maintain accuracy; avoid striking it with heavy blows. Store flat or hang to prevent bending. Recalibrate visually by checking against a known straight edge if precision is critical for fine joinery.
