ACT optički LC-duplex adapter multimode OM3

The ACT Fiber optic LC duplex adapter multimode OM3 is a compact connector adapter designed for multimode 50/125 µm fiber systems. Housed in a cyan (aqua) casing with zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic ferrules, this LC duplex adapter provides low insertion loss and high return loss for reliable high-speed data transmission in data centers and telecommunication installations. It is compatible with standard LC duplex multimode connectors and supports OM3 performance characteristics.

Advantages

This LC duplex adapter offers typical insertion loss of ≤ 0.2 dB at 850 nm and a return loss better than 60 dB, ensuring minimal signal degradation. The zirconia ferrules provide precise alignment and long-term durability, while the compact cyan body enables easy identification and space-efficient panel mounting. The adapter is manufactured to fit standard LC multimode connectors for straightforward integration into existing networks.

Suitable for

• Multimode OM3 50/125 µm fiber links
• Data center patch panels and interconnects
• Telecommunications and enterprise LAN backbone cabling
• High-density rack installations requiring LC duplex connections

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM3 (50/125 µm)
• Connector type: LC duplex
• Ferrule material: Zirconia (ZrO2)
• Insertion loss: ≤ 0.2 dB @ 850 nm
• Return loss: > 60 dB
• Housing color: Aqua (cyan)

How to use

Mount the LC duplex adapter into the panel or bulkhead cutout compatible with LC duplex footprint. Insert LC multimode duplex connectors into each adapter port until they click into place. Ensure fiber connectors are clean before mating to maintain the specified insertion loss and return loss values. To disconnect, depress the latch on the LC connector and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule alignment.

Recommendations

Use appropriate fiber cleaning tools and inspection equipment before making connections; avoid touching ferrule endfaces and follow standard multimode fiber handling practices to preserve performance and reliability.
